I know it's all in good fun but...

I just get irritated by this whole theory of Steak & BJ Day. I mean really. Valentines Day, at least the way it was sold to me was: “Hey, big dumb male who never takes time out to tell his girl that she’s special. Take today and do it!” So I get a little annoyed by all this: “Do something special for your guy” thing.

I already do things for my guy: I make him lunch and dinner. I do his laundry and I scrub his fucking toilet. I don’t bitch when he goes drinking with his friends, or ignores me for his video games. And I tell him I love him.

On top of this, I’m supposed to cook steak in a skimpy apron and blow him?!!! Sure, I’ll do it *when* he actually does something special on Valentines Day.

Disclaimer: Valentines Day is mostly on non-event for us. I'm OK with that. It's just the preponderance of fuss on my f-list yesterday that spawned this rant.
