Yes, I am alive and well and I love you all. I just have no time these days and so I haven't been reading much. I hope good things are coming to the people I love.
Yesterday was a wonderful day. Patch woke up with me and wished me a "happy name game day". We had a lovely relaxing morning and then went shopping. My shoppies failed, apparently cargo pants are no longer in style for women. (I'll be trying the mall today, we'll see if that works out better. Anyone want to join me? Call me.)
We went to the Men's Warehouse and bought Patch several dress shirts, a couple of pairs of slacks, silk (!) shorts and a lovely silk/cotton blend polo shirt. My man is going to look sharp at the blues festival. He's also tired of me always being dressed better than him when we go out.
When we got home I took the most disgusting bath on the planet. I exfoliated with a big heavy brush, then I exfoliated with a honey/baking soda blend. It was definitely icky, but my skin is finally improving.
(Aside: I had this weird extra dry, itchy skin thing going on. When I lotioned it just got kind of thick. Dermatologist proscribed Salix, which is a cream containing Salicylic Acid, to exfoliate and moisturize at the same time. Patch & I both decided my skin is way to sensitive/delicate/thin for that kind of thing. I got a scrubby brush and have been dry brushing my skin and lotioning with Cocoa Butter Cream twice a day. Much, better. In fact, I'm almost back to normal.)
We got dressed to the nines and went out for a fabulous dinner, accompanied by exquisite wine and lovely conversation. All in all, our fifth year anniversary celebration was a roaring success.
