How does Saturday, October 25th strike you?

Heritage Square Museum is open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and most holiday Mondays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Due to Daylight Saving Time, hours will vary from November to March (11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

On Saturday and Sunday, guided tours of most of the structures depart hourly (12 to 3 p.m.) from the Palms Depot. No admittance after the final tour has departed. The museum is closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

Adults: $10.00; Seniors over 65 years: $8.00; Children, ages 6 to 12: $5.00. Museum members and children under 6 are admitted free of charge. Discounts available for AAA Auto Club and TimeTravelers® members.

The house overall is very mid century modern. Filled with crisp lines and simple geometric shapes. The woods within are in two tones only, blonde pine and dark mahogany. The fabrics are in oranges, yellows and reds.

The front door is pine w/side lights. The view from the front door is a blonde pine bench with an orange cusion. About the benc is a pine panel with vertical slats at either side blocking a direct view of the living room.

Stepping out of the foyer, to your left are windows that stretch up from low cabinets to the height of the ceiling, which peaks at about 10 feet. You follow the windows as they move with the curve o the house as it winds to the left.

As you pass the foyer divider, the living room appears on the right. A library table backs the couch dreating a corridor bewtween the windows on the left and the living foom on the right. The entertainment cent (in more blonde wood) takes up most of the streetside wall flanked by windows on either side.

As the ocrrider of light continues to curve left, beyond the living room is thedining room, dilinated by a low buffet. The table is modern, of dark wood and sharp edges. The outside wall is mostly sindows, but has floating shelves that hold vases and glassware on display.

The kitchen is jus visible around the curve, a simple galley style with blonde cabinets along the outside wall and a the in the island soth tht one looks toward the interior atrium.

At the far end of the kitch, the house resolves into a small office with some desks, and just before meeting with the foyer, the corridor drops down a flight of stairs to the bedroom level.

You find yourself standing in the landing which is filled with lifht from the atrium ablove. The three bedrooms open up onto this space. a master bedroom with a master bath and two adidtional rooms that share a bath between them. They are simple and not too large. Their only light to the outside is from the atrium, but then these rooms are for sleeping.

It's a georgeous Craftsman, 3,600 square feet, five bedrooms and just makes me miss living at the Society House/Neighbor of the Beast so much more.
