Waffles!

I had waffles and bacon for dinner last night! Breakfast for dinner, how scandelous. Yes, well, Patch bought me a waffle-iron, which arrived last night and we just had to break it in.

We used the waffle recipe which came in the instruction booklet and frankly it wasn't too exciting. Do any of you have a good waffle recipe? (I do realize I that I can search the interwebs, but I figured I'd ask for *good* recipes before I went on a random search.)

It is very weird to go from a two qt. crock pot to a 7 quart crock pot. Where before I didn't have enough room when I followed a recipe, now I find myself adding extra liqued in a desperate effort to make sure the meat is covered.

I would not have bought this large a crock post if KitchenMaid made anything smaller, 'cause you know, it's an awesome crock pot.

All I remember is it has Ramen, Eggs and some Worstishersher (no I can't spell it) sauce.

Last night I made "Calabasitas" for dinner. It's a squash and tomato dish that my mother, learned from her mother-in-law, who learned it from her mother-in-low (aka: my paternal great-grandmother).

I used tomatoes from my mom's boyfriends garden. Last night's dinner made me feel quite accomplished and bound to my family. *grin*
