I've noticed a propensity in the "real world" to poo-poo online friendships and relationships. The interesting thing is, I get a lot of satisfaction from talking to you folks online.
After I check my LJ mail, I usually feel pretty good. A lot like a feel after a long phone call or coffee with a girl friend. It's because my interaction with folks runs the gammut of topics and depth.
I like the fact that I can touch base with a friend, even if it's a quick "congratualations" over a promotion - or a "be safe" before they take off for a trip.
Sometimes, the exchange, whatever it may be, just helps me "feel the love" as they say. It's a quick hug and kiss that verifies the reality of my emotions.
And then of course, are the opportunities to participate in political and philisophical discussions. It's nice just to get the brain going.
I'm just feeling good this morning. It's 10am my time and I've made contact with the world.
