Does your computer have a name? If so, what is it and why that name in particular?

My computer is Aphrodite(Mark II). I named her that because it seemed a good alternative to all the Heinlein I was reading.

My desktop is named Chill. ([livejournal.com profile] lifeofreilly's is named Cook.) Meet Barry and Levon.

My laptop is named Athos. [livejournal.com profile] lifeofreilly got a sweet sweet deal on this model, so he got three of them, one for him, one for me, and one for [livejournal.com profile] nonperdeventura. We named them after the Three Musketeers.

Sikanda

it is the name of the sword that Bastian Balthazar Bux recieves when he arrives in Fantastika in the novel "The Neverending Story"

At any moment of need or danger, Sikanda would leap from its sheath to Bastian's hand and help him display the most amazing swordsmanship. But, if force drawn in anger, the blade would turn black and no longer work.

Close to what I did as Heinlein is my favorite author: Dora is the main desktop and usually Stacy's computer named after Lazarus Long's ship and master computer. The laptop is Minerva after the master computer of Secundous (and later human), and the garage computer is Athene after the master computer of Tertious.

If we get a box to control the printer, it will be Mike. Then we'll only have one name left before we^H^H I need to branch out to other forms of being a geek.

No. Had a previous 'puter (hard drive at least) named MacSiskin, a combo of my maiden name and my married name.
