We arrived in London at Noon after a fairly non-eventful but un-restful 9 hour flight. Everyone esle had already arrived and had gone off to eat, so Patch & I went to our room (about the size of a dorm room) to lay down for a bit. Eventually the rabble (Leslie, Fried, Reitz & Adaven) came poounding on the door.
We went to the Natural History Museum. It's a spectacular victorian bulding. Patch took pictures of the gargoyles for me. (Those will come later.) The museum reminded me of the Smithsonian, in terms of the displays; prior to the re-model.
The main thing we saw was the gem & mineral display. The original theory was that after taking the tube to the museum we would move on to go see the London Eye; a giant ferris wheel. Ultimately we were too bushed and headed back to the hotel.
Patch & I picked up some Pasties for dinner. Adaven being a picky bitch went looking for food back at the hotel bar, where we joined him for drings and then toddled off to bed. After all that travel it was an early night for everyone.

A day at the Natural History Museum is exhausting; and days short of being able to see all.
I love travelogues; especially as I'm too lazy to post my own. Have access [I think]to our digital pix and older holiday trips which Cathy has scanned in; must post some sometime.
Yay pasties [yes, with a short 'a' sound].
