I am so increadibly frustrated right now. My insurance covers three midwives in this town (read entire LA basin).

The one in Inglewood I don't like. The one downtown... her phone number is out of service. The one at UCLA doesn't do well woman care!! WTF?! Seriously, how does someone not do well woman care? *UGH*

So please, recomend an OB-GYN. Hopefully, I can find someone my insurance covers.

And yes, I know I'm an idiot for waiting until the last minute.

Dr. Julian-Wang. S will have her number and will probably be posting as soon as she sees a computer. She was cheap (enough) to see out of pocket for S to get care she is comfortable with.

And I still go to her annually, despite the fact that she no longer takes my insurance. I've referred a few people. She's fantastic.

who, what?? I totally do not understand.
Did you google the second name?
I sometimes contact my insurance and make soemone there dig me up a name.
I am sorry to hear of your searching, I did a doctor search this year, and it made me want to rip my hair out.

Well woman care = annual pap & exam. The midwife doesn't do those. Which just boggles my mind. I had a great midwife for a little while but because she was a lay midwife and CA isn't set up so you can apprentice, she had to close her practice so she could get her license. :-(
