Question about Chinese Herbs:

Qing Hao and Yin chen hao are part of the Artemesia family. Which means they are in the same family as Estafiate/Wormwood. Are they prescribed for cramps?

I'm confused why an Emmenagogue would help relieving cramps. They promote bleeding and uterine contractions. I've always associated heavy bleeding with higher pain.

Ideas? Anyone?

I made a tea from a spoonful of dry herb Artemisia Alba last night. *shudder* Holy crap that stuff was awful. I spit it out immediately. It did not taste the way I remember. The fresh herb was much greener and really only used a sprig or two. It was still increadibly unpleasant but tolerable when buried under mounds of honey.

I will need to experiment tonight, using the Artemesia Vulgaris (which is green) instead of the Artemesia Alba (which was brown) and use less herb.

I'm going to the fashion district with my mother on Saturday to buy an evening gown for Patch's step-brother's wedding in May. Any suggestions on specific stores?

I've already actually found one that was stunning. Patch thought I should get it. Problem? $600 without the alterations needed. I also think the dress is a little over the top with all the crystals on it. I'm going for understated elegance (as usual). I'm also hoping that I can take people's breath away (also as usual).

*edit*
It's a mermaid style dress, strapless, cut straight across the bosom; moca with a navy lace overlay with navy crystals. Wearing it with flats makes it the perfect length. I'd have to have it taken in a little on the sides because it falls away from my chest. (Like all things currently, to fit my hips it's actually too big in the chest *sigh*)
