How often do you guys see your parents? Weekly, Monthly, Once a year?

How often do you talk to your parents (phone/im/email)? Daily, Weekly, Quarterly?

My mother & father live in Arizona and Louisiana, respectively, so I see my mother about 2 or 3 times a year and my father once every two years or so.

However, I talk to them both every 3 weeks or so.

Dad: Annually I usually see him (and his wife) 3-4 times a year: for a meal (and like a hike or at least walkies) over x-mas (Dec), around my b-day (Sept) (ditto re: activities), and at least one other time (when they come visit me for a few days of visiting, site-seeing, hikes, &c.). We talk on the phone every couple of months or so. We e-mail every month or so. No IM.

Mom: I see her (and her hubby) about the same # of times (x-mas, b-day, wherever I'm living for several days), sometimes (approx every other year) there's an extra visit when I find myself in the Bay Area at some other point during the year. I tend to talk w/mom every couple of weeks. We e-mail every week or so. No IM.

In person I see my parents about 2-3 times a month.

On the phone I talk to my Mom 1-2 times a week. My Dad and I don't talk on the phone much.

Wow... now I don't feel nearly so bad. I don't see my Dad but once a year. I only talk to him once every couple of months, depending on his travel schedule.

Even though my mom lives here, I really only see her maybe monthly. We go through times when we exchange flurries of emails, or we talk on the phone a few days in a row. But that can also easily go monthly as well.

i talk to my mother a few times a week for no longer than it takes me to drive home from work.

i talk to my father around ever major holiday and my birthday. this year he called to wish eric a happy birthday and didn't talk to me.

i talk to eric's parents whenever we go to dinner or they call, which is about once every 3 months or so...maybe longer and they live about 20 min away.

i see my dad once a month. i talk to him every week or so.

I see my folks up to three times a year. My mother makes a trip out to see me yearly and the whole family usually gets together for a wedding, a birth, or a holiday as well.
I talk to my mom every day to every other day, unless one of us is out of town.
I mainly talk to my dad through my mother but we have phone or email conversations 3 or 4 times a year.

I see mine about one every month on the average. Maybe talk to them once every two weeks. It all depends on how pissed I am at them at any given time. They live pretty close, about 50 miles from here.

My mom I see about once a month. My dad every week, though thats due to his taking woodworking classes with me.

See them yearly maybe, maybe every 3 years, talk to them by phone about every week, sometimes miss a week or two.

i email back and forth with my dad once or twice a month, generally. my mother and i email quarterly at best. my stepmother and i try to be social, but we're both so darned busy, so i probably email back and forth with her every 2 months or so. my dad's gf and i email back and forth more frequently right after i see them, and then it tapers off to once every few months. i think she doesn't want to "bother" me, she's like that.

I saw the entire brood last time i was on the east coast, which was march/april 2008. before that, it had been just over a year, but I was back twice in rapid succession then, because of dad's health. before that, it may have been pre 9/11. i suppose i had that hideous lunch with my mother in the interim (right after the tsunami, whenever that was), but that was on the heels of not speaking to her a\for about 13 years.

i may be an anomaly though. ;-)

on the other hand, we see The Boi(tm)'s family at least once a month. Mind you, they live about 15 minutes away.

my mom calls me every day. I answer probably every 3 days.

I only talk to my dad if we happen to cross paths. I never intentionally speak to him.
