So these are last year's resolutions... let's see how I did, shall we?
New Years Resolutions
1)Complete my doula certification
-Taking a birthing class
-Writing essays (2)
-Submit paperwork to be part of mother support program(this will help me attend additional births, for which I have to write more essays and submit evaluations)
*** That failed miserably. I ran out of time and am now debating if it is necessary for me to even try to achive certification. I don't actually need it for midwifery school, I just needed the class. I also wanted to attend some births so that I knew I wouldn't freak out and that Midwiferey is what I want. I *know* that it's what I want. No doubt about it.***
2)I will get a new job.
*** Um, yeah... need to do that, or when April rolls around I'm going to loose it big time. ***
3)I will exercise three times a week.
*** I'm doing Pilates twice a week and walking 2 miles five days a week. I think I'm actually OK on that one! ***
4)I will go out with friends once every two weeks
*** I still want to see my friends more often, but I do not feel like I'm a shut-in this year - which is what was going on last year. ***
5)I will see my grandmother once a month.
*** That didn't work out so well and now she's dead. *sigh* I'm OK with that. She knew I loved her, and that's what matters.***
6)I will begin writing my column on Monday, rather than at lunch time Wednesday.
*** Yeah... not so much really. I went on haitus and came back. I have a column due next Wed. The theory is I'll try to do it this weekend. *heh* We'll see...***
Despite my sardonic voice, I'm actually not disapointed in myself. I'm not proud about my lack of accomplishment, but I'm not going to beat myself up over it either.

I've just had it in my brain longer.
What do you write a column for?
www.twoheadedcat.com - My column is Rythms of Life. Take a look, there's a lot of good stuff (not just mine).
What do you currently do for a living?
I'm an admin at an ad agency. Nothing particularly exciting. I've been doing it for five years. I'm tired of doing the same fucking thing after five years.
