well i may not be home so if you and Patch want to come down to the beach and cat-sit, my cottage is open. i'll have more info on if i'm going away soon... i'll for sure be gone on the 2nd and 3rd (i live in Costa Mesa)
otherwise i say:
*Julian in North San Diego County is nice
*Solvang used to be nice but after "Sideways" its probably gotten really expensive
*Sequoia and the town of Three Rivers. Its charming.
yes, the national park. its south of Yosemite. i think you can get there in about 4 hours from LA.
Baja is pretty safe, I've been down there a bunch of times and have never had a prob. I thought since you spoke Spanish you might feel comfortable there.
Baja is tourist area...therefore I don't feel safe. That's where the scam artists and theives go to fleece stupid Americans. *shrug* Just call me paranoid.
i mean if you travel south of Ensenada the locals are very happy to have you come visit and spend your dinero. i've been down several times to Isla Cedros and the Gulf side and had a wonderful time. nothing but postive energy. the frontiera is where it gets gnarly. just go further south and it gets mucho better.
