Birthday Update

Now that I'm 37, I figure I can own up to how I feel about my life: I love it! Sure I'm a little stressed over the current level of chaos, but I know I am loved. I don't think you can ask for anything else.

For those of you who didn't make it for various reasons - I missed you! You'll just have to come to the housewarming once I have a new place.

For those who did come: Thank you. Your presence really made my day special. I know it seems hard to believe, but each new face that walks through the door lights up my heart. Not because you're another warm body and I can brag about attendence at my soiree, but because you are my friend. No matter how much I lag with the keeping in touch in the real and virtual worlds, I still have pictures of each of you in my heart. My life would be so much emptier without you.

I wanted to show up last night, but I had no costume and I was tired as all get out. I even passed out a couple of times during the evening while doing like....nothing. Driving would have been bad. It sounds like you had a good time, though, and I'm glad for that.
